  Just got back from southfield medical practice and again in tears. Only went in to collect a prescription with regards to endometriosis only to be told it wasnt available- then got told the doctor was refusing to give me said prescription, which is against the advice of a specialist consultant. The reception staff were very rude and unsympathetic and were pushing me to get injection administered there when i explained i was leaving after several incidences of being spoken to with complete contempt and belittling me prior to this when i had the audacity to approach the receptionist in question about their conduct towards me on several occassions and the lack of discretion when discussing personal issues. It is genuinely a great shame, as the medical staff i have came into contact with have been respectful and forthcoming but the reception staff are unfeeling, ill-mannered and downright rude. I am actually happy to leave the practice due to this and will be looking to take further action against humiliating me on several occassions, making me feel i cannot seek medical help for fear and stress of reception staff and prolonging the pain i am in.

  I have been a patient at Southfield Medical Practice for over ten years. I phoned all the local medical practices before making my choice, and I based the choice on the phone manner of the receptionists, who are kind, friendly and helpful, and the ease of their procedure for getting repeat prescription. So far, I have always found the doctors and the nurse courteous, helpful and appropriate, and the receptionists are absolutely lovely. One of the receptionists has worked there for years and she's kind, warm and friendly, with a lovely smile which makes every visit a social, enjoyable pleasure.
