As an owner of rats, I've had massive difficulties finding a good vet for them, with my first vets being almost totally unknowledgable about rats (I.e.telling me the wheezing noise they made when they had a respiratory infection was "just the noise they make") and when I had to make the difficult decision to have them put to sleep, 1. they used the method of injecting into the abdomen with no anaesthesia, which I discovered later is exceptionally cruel and causes them great pain and distress and 2. As I held and stroked my pet while she passed, I was told by an uncaring vet "She's unconscious now, you can put her down."
This could not have been further from the case at this practice. I have had to have several of my rats put to sleep recently and have been met with nothing but compassion and professionalism by the staff. I cannot thank them enough.
