- Alastair Shaw Review added: 2018.04.27★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆We booked a table here for an anniversary meal. Unfortunately when we arrived there had been a power failure. Whilst I appreciate the staff had absolutely no control over this, the service we received was quite poor. We were told that we couldn't order drinks whilst we waited for the power situation to be resolved (despite assuring the staff that we would pay regardless.) Meanwhile, another table was served drinks with no problems whatsoever! It was at this point we decided to cut our losses and leave. It was also rather annoying that the restaurant didn't phone us ahead of time to let us know about the power failure so we could make an informed decision about our evening. I'd love to be able to leave a positive review as the restaurant and menu both looked very impressive, and if I'm honest next time I'm in Edinburgh I'll probably book a table and see this place as it's meant to be. Unfortunately at this time I can only leave 2 stars due to the poor service received. I will, of course, update this review when i return.
